Intelligent Money's board of directors have nearly 100 years of combined specialist financial services experience.
Julian entered into the financial sector in the 1990s and has had experience across the IFA, Discount Broking, Product Provider and Asset Management sectors. Prior to establishing Intelligent Money Julian was Investment Management Director at Willis Owen, responsible for generating and maintaining a £1bn portfolio of client asset.
Julian has been quoted widely in the national press (Financial Times, Daily and Sunday Telegraph, Sunday Times, Mail on Sunday, Independent, Guardian and Observer), interviewed for various broadcast programmes (BBC Moneybox, ITN News and a Channel Four documentary) and does regular interview and phone in sessions on saving and investing for the BBC. Julian has also been consulted in parliament by several members of the Treasury Select Committee, the Pension Minister and Shadow Pension Minister on the Governments proposed National Pension Saving Scheme.
Chris has over 25 years of experience in the investment industry working in pensions and investments on both sides of the fence, as an Independent Financial Adviser and with Insurance Companies and Investment Management Firms. Having spent 11 years with JP Morgan as Vice President, UK Sales, Chris moved to Intelligent Money in August 2009. He has full responsibility for running our UK sales division, strategic relationships and associations with our investment partners.
Marcus has vast systems experience as a senior SIPP portfolio manager running SIPP and SSAS books covering all HMRC asset classes. He specialises in Bespoke SIPP and Group SIPP product development and is credited with creating our Pension Realisation in Bankruptcy (P-RiB) solution for insolvency practitioners. Prior to joining Intelligent Money Marcus ran the SIPP books of AWD Chase de Vere. He has full responsibility for all of Intelligent Money's back office operations and SIPP business.
Alan has 35 years of experience in the financial sector across all disciplines and specialises in all aspects of regulatory and compliance matters. Having originally been a compliance consultant to the firm, Alan joined Intelligent Money on a permanent basis in 2008 and was appointed Director at the beginning of 2009. Alan has full responsibility for all compliance and regulatory issues within the firm and also advises the board on strategic expansion in context with FSA developments.
Jeff took over the running of Intelligent Money's finance and banking in February 2008. He has many years experience in the financial sector, primarily working in corporate recovery with the larger accountancy firms (including KPMG, Begbies Traynor and Kroll). Jeff now oversees the financial aspects of all corporate activity and has full responsibility for our financial reporting, including audit trails for our commission rebating service.
